Is this a deep part of aging, too: the Demeter/Persephone myth making its appearance in a life, signaling a difficult and painful deepening of character?"

Mathews and Moore talk about aging as a continuous process, the role of anger for older people, dream work, qualities of transcendence, friendship, and loneliness. Moore also describes his spiritual practice of meditation at the piano.
