Moore talks about New England spirituality in NH

Mariposa Museum
Mariposa Museum in Peterborough, New Hampshire hosts Thomas Moore on Friday 9 August, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for his presentation, Thoreau, Emerson, and Emily Dickinson—A New England Spirituality for Our Times:
"Thoreau built a cabin at Walden Pond, Emerson quit his role as minister and created his own priestly way of life, and Emily Dickinson stayed home, seeing her family, house and garden as the world in miniature. Each created a sacred way of life outside of yet influenced by religious traditions. In this special presentation to his neighbors, best-selling author Thomas Moore (Care of the Soul, Soul Mates) draws on 19th century writings to suggest an American spirituality for our own era, at a time when people are abandoning religion for spirituality."
Admission: Adult $20, Member $16
