Workshop about spirit and soul in psychotherapy

MAPS Counseling Services offers Spirit & Soul in Psychotherapy: Ethical Challenges & Clinical Applications with Thomas Moore, Friday 11 May 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at:
Monadnock Covenant Church,
90 Base Hill Road.,
Keene, New Hampshire.

According to the host, "The importance of spirituality to healing is increasingly apparent to all health care practitioners, including psychotherapists. However, many therapists are taught to avoid spiritual or religious themes in their practice and are not trained in how to identify or work with our clients’ spiritual resources. Unprepared, this area is fraught with ethical challenges and pitfalls. Dr. Thomas Moore will guide the practitioner in how to effectively integrate spirituality in their clinical practice, recognize potential ethical problems and give them the skills to be more holistic and effective with all of their clients."

Licensed social workers, mental health counselors, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, and pastoral counselors are encouraged to attend this professional workshop.
Cost: $150 U.S.
Registration opens 26 March 2012.
